Kindergarteners and first graders comprise our Eagle class. Daily activities are related to teacher created multidisciplinary themes that are approximately four to six weeks in length. Our theme based educational program allows the students to be actively involved in the learning process. Assigned projects facilitate learning by allowing ample time for investigation and exploration of a variety of materials as well as promoting interaction and communication with peers. Utilization of developmentally appropriate quality literature rich in vocabulary and storyline depth enhances thematic learning as well as encouraging critical thinking skills. Incorporated into the daily classroom life of an Eagle is the demonstration and recognition of effective communication and interaction between peers and teachers.
