Admissions Philosophy

The Children's Country Day School seeks to cultivate a diverse student body. Exposure to different and varying ethnic, racial, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds is seen as essential in the healthy and wholesome development of every child. Compassion, understanding, tolerance, and acceptance are but a few of the life skills nurtured and developed in children when immersed in such an environment. When a child is considered for admission we primarily focus on that child's potential to thrive here and function as a responsible, contributing member of the school community. In focusing on the needs of the whole child, our end goal is to develop a love of learning that lasts a lifetime and teach our students those life skills we know will help assure happy, well adjusted, and productive lives.

Applying for Admission

If you would like to look further into the admissions process, please call the school or stop by and we will be happy to provide you with a packet of information. Upon reviewing the information, the following procedural steps are requested.

STEP ONE: PARENT VISIT

Please call the school to set up a parent visit. We ask at this time that, if possible, your child does not accompany you. This request is made so that uninterrupted time can be spent with the director touring the facility, discussing the program and learning more about your child and his or her needs. Parent visits are welcomed year round.

STEP TWO: STUDENT VISIT
We encourage you to bring your child to visit the appropriate classroom while the other children are there. This gives you, the parent, an opportunity to see the classroom in action and allows us the chance to become acquainted with your child. Visits of an hour or two seem most appropriate.
STEP THREE: APPLICATION AND FEE
The application must be completed and accompanied by the application fee of $50. Once your application has been accepted, a contract must be signed and those procedures and terms of the contract fulfilled.
